RESPONSIBILITIES
- Plan, develop and implement active and effective strategies to meet fundraising goals for the university.
- Work to develop gift opportunities and create proposals, which seek to match the interests of numerous donors, which include individuals, corporations, foundations, and alumni, with the needs of the University to maximise long-term value.
- Interact with business and community leaders to seek the involvement of increasing the number of individuals in programmes that provide financial and volunteer support for the University.
- Strategically advance the University's most important relationships.
- Strengthen existing donor relationships for cultivation and stewardship purposes.
- Work with the stewardship team to ensure that donors communications are timely and relevant.
- Work closely with the university administrators and academics, obtaining their support while managing expectations and relationships.
- Foster a spirit of collegiality and distributed ownership of success.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS- Bachelor's or Master's degree with at least 10 years of work experience
- Demonstrated excellence in fundraising, sales, business development, account management, communications, or relationship-based disciplines.
- Ability to engage with diverse external and internal stakeholders, including donors, industry leaders, faculty, staff, students etc., showcasing exceptional interpersonal skills to foster strong relationships and achieve organizational goals.
- Demonstrate a strong work ethic, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Influence large and small groups with eloquent, articulate demeanor, and sound judgment, conveying the university's mission and goals with conviction and enthusiasm.
- Proven ability to negotiate at high levels with resilience and positivity under pressure.
- Knowledge of major wealth sources in Singapore and the region a plus.
- Passion for higher education and the nonprofit sector highly desirable.
