Job Description

The Associate Director, Regional Key Account Management is a strategic regional role responsible for leading key pharmaceutical partnerships across Asia Pacific and driving successful commercialization of the speciality treatments portfolio.

This position serves as a critical bridge between global, regional, and local stakeholders, ensuring alignment on portfolio strategy, launch readiness, and execution excellence. The role combines external partnership leadership with strong commercial and launch capabilities to accelerate growth, optimize launch performance, and expand patient access across multiple markets.

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping go-to-market strategies, driving launch preparedness, and fostering cross-functional collaboration to maximize the impact of new products and indications throughout the product lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Partnership Leadership:

  • Serve as the primary regional contact for strategic pharmaceutical partners, fostering trusted, long-term relationships and ensuring alignment on shared business objectives.
  • Lead regular business reviews, strategic planning discussions, and governance forums to evaluate partnership performance, identify growth opportunities, and drive decision-making.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve business challenges, mitigate risks, and ensure successful delivery of partnership objectives.
  • Build strong stakeholder engagement across commercial, medical, market access, regulatory, supply chain, finance, and operations functions.

Portfolio Strategy & Commercial Excellence:

  • Develop and execute regional portfolio strategies that support business growth, competitive positioning, and patient access objectives.
  • Identify growth opportunities across brands, indications, and markets, translating strategic priorities into actionable plans and measurable outcomes.
  • Partner with country and regional teams to align commercial priorities, resource allocation, and performance objectives.
  • Monitor portfolio and market performance, generating insights and recommendations to enhance commercial effectiveness and business results.

Launch Excellence:

  • Lead end-to-end launch excellence initiatives across multiple countries and therapeutic areas.
  • Design, implement, and continuously improve launch readiness frameworks, governance processes, and best practices to ensure consistent execution excellence.
  • Establish launch milestones, performance indicators, and risk management processes to track launch preparedness and outcomes.
  • Facilitate cross-functional launch planning activities and ensure alignment of stakeholders throughout the launch journey.
  • Drive knowledge sharing and capability building to strengthen launch excellence practices across markets.

Leadership & Cross-functional Collaboration:

  • Influence and align diverse stakeholders within a complex matrix environment to achieve strategic objectives.
  • Lead cross-functional teams and projects, ensuring timely execution of priorities and delivery of business outcomes.
  • Promote a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement across regional and local teams.
  • Champion best practice sharing and foster an environment of learning and innovation.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Healthcare Management, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry, including significant exposure to Specialty Care, or related therapeutic areas.
  • Demonstrated success in launch excellence, commercialization, product launches, or strategic portfolio management within regional or global environments.
  • Strong experience in brand strategy, business planning, and commercial execution.
  • Solid understanding of pharmaceutical market dynamics, launch planning, patient access considerations, and commercial operations.
  • Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and lead cross-functional initiatives within a matrix organization.
  • Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills across multicultural environments.
  • Experience leading teams or managing people is advantageous.
  • High levels of resilience, adaptability, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Business proficiency in English.
