Job Description

Rimkus is expanding its Asia-Pacific operations and is seeking to appoint an Associate Director - Quantum within our Singapore team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced quantity surveying professional looking to advance their career within a global claims consultancy.

The Role

You will work on a diverse range of commissions, either based in the Rimkus office or on-site with clients, spanning project advisory, claims consulting, and expert services.

In this role, you will provide commercial and contractual expertise to a diverse range of organisations across the transport infrastructure, aviation, data centre, energy, industrial, residential, and commercial building sectors. You will take ownership of client relationships and manage day-to-day client needs, identify and manage contractual entitlements, and provide expert commercial insights into cost and programme challenges.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide commercial and contractual expertise across project advisory, claims consulting, and expert services commissions.
  • Lead and manage all aspects of individual commissions, including investigation, analysis, report writing, methodology, resourcing, and pricing strategy
  • Prepare technical, expert, and opinion reports, as well as client strategy recommendations
  • Manage client relationships and day-to-day client needs, ensuring a high level of client satisfaction across commissions
  • Support business development initiatives, including securing new client appointments, negotiating fee proposals, and delivering client presentations and training
  • Mentor Consultants and Senior Consultants within the business unit
  • Contribute to the continued growth, reputation, and success of Rimkus across the region

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in quantity surveying, commercial management, construction management, or a related field;
  • Achieved or working towards MRICS
  • Technical knowledge of NEC, FIDIC forms of contract
  • Minimum of 10 years post-graduate experience working for a construction or engineering contractor or specialist claims consultancy (project delivery experience essential);
  • Experience working on contentious claims (highly regarded), especially arbitration and/or other formal claims resolution;
  • Excellent writing skills with the ability to draft large sections of professional reports;
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely to a non-technical audience
