We are looking for an Associate Director, Product Development in Malaysia who will support our product development team on product strategy, product development, product management and maintenance and competitor research.

What You'll Do

• Lead end-to-end setup of new funds, including drafting offering documents, regulatory due diligence, submission to authorities (SC, MAS, Bursa, SGX), and managing regulator communications.
• Support with shaping long- and short-term product strategies, aligning product platforms and features with customer channels and business goals.
• Oversee updates and renewals of offering documents (e.g., prospectus, PHS, IM) across jurisdictions, including strategic amendments and regulatory compliance.
• Evaluate fund viability and lead rationalization initiatives such as closures, terminations, structural changes, and feature enhancements.
• Conduct ongoing market, peer, and product research and analysis to inform strategy and identify opportunities using tools like Lipper, Morningstar, and Bloomberg.
• Assist with organizing and managing Product Committee meetings, ensuring alignment with product and business strategies.
• Continuously develop and refine internal processes to ensure regulatory compliance and operational efficiency.
• Drive product initiatives from inception to completion, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to meet timelines and regulatory requirements.
• Engage with regulators, legal advisors, trustees, Shariah boards, and internal teams across all Principal entities to support product initiatives.
• Undertake additional responsibilities and special projects as assigned.

Who You Are

• A bachelor's degree holder in Economics, Business Administration, Finance or other related fields. A master's degree would be an added advantage.
• Minimum 5 years and above of relevant working experience in product development for Unit Trust products.
• Able to display knowledge and understanding of asset management industry, investment markets and investment vehicles. Technical knowledge on investment instruments, both conventional and Islamic instruments would be an added advantage
• Familiar with regulations and guidelines on unit trust fund products in Malaysia and Singapore (preferable). Background in Legal or Compliance would be an added advantage.
