Lead Snapmint's UPI success-rate agenda end-to-end by owning relationships with NPCI, PSPs, TSPs, and network banks, and driving systemic fixes to reduce failures and improve TPAP performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own UPI/TPAP success rate

• Define, monitor, and improve UPI transaction success metrics across all flows (P2P, P2M, autopay, refunds, etc.).

• Build dashboards and daily/weekly MIS on success rate by bank, error code, journey, and partner.

• NPCI & ecosystem partnership

• Represent Snapmint in NPCI/regulatory working groups and implementation discussions as needed.

• Failure diagnosis & resolution

• Lead root-cause analysis for UPI failures (timeouts, declines, reversals, NPCC/NPCI errors, bank-side issues).

• Partner with internal engineering, risk, and product teams to implement fixes, retries, fallbacks, and UX improvements.

• Drive joint war-rooms with banks/NPCI during spikes in failure rates or outages.

• Strategy & roadmap

• Define a 3-6-12 month roadmap to improve UPI success rate, reduce cost per successful transaction, and enhance reliability.

• Prioritize initiatives (technical, operational, and partnership-based) based on impact on success rate and user experience.

• Influence product design to make UPI journeys more resilient (pre-checks, smart routing, fallback instruments).

• Governance & stakeholder management

• Run weekly/monthly reviews with leadership on UPI performance, key issues, and progress.

• Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders at partner banks and payment players.

Must-Have Qualifications:

6–8+ years in payments/fintech, with at least 4–5 years deeply working on UPI.

• Proven track record of leading UPI success rate / decline management / TPAP performance initiatives.

• Hands-on experience working with NPCI, PSPs, TSPs, acquiring/issuing banks, and payment networks.

• Strong understanding of UPI framework: TPAP/PSP roles, message flows, error codes, settlement, and compliance.

• Excellent analytical skills: comfort with data, SQL/Excel, dashboards, and translating data into action.

• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills; able to push complex cross-functional agendas.

Good-to-Have:

• Experience in lending/fintech apps with UPI-based payment.

• UPI Lite, Credit on UPI, and newer NPCI products.
