About the Role
IMD is seeking an experienced Associate Director, Custom Solutions to support the design and development of high-impact, client‑centric executive education programmes for leading international organisations during a temporary assignment in Singapore.
The role focuses on client engagement, solution design, and proposal development, working closely with faculty and internal stakeholders to co-create customised leadership development journeys aligned with client strategy and business priorities.
This position sits within IMD's Custom Solutions team and operates in close collaboration with colleagues across Program Design, Faculty, and Client Engagement functions.
Key Activities & Accountabilities
Client Needs & Scoping
. Support early-stage client discussions to understand organisational context, strategic objectives, and learning needs
. Analyse RFPs and briefing materials to translate client requirements into coherent learning solutions
. Contribute to trusted, consultative client dialogue in partnership with senior colleagues
Learning Design & Proposal Development
. Collaborate with faculty and internal stakeholders to design tailored executive learning journeys
. Contribute to the development of high-quality written proposals, integrating experiential learning, digital elements, and innovative pedagogical approaches
. Apply emerging tools and technologies (including AI-supported approaches) to enhance solution design and proposal quality
Commercial& Pitch Support
. Contribute to pricing and delivery feasibility discussions under guidance from senior leaders
. Support client presentations and pitch preparation, tailoring content to different decision-making audiences
. Iterate proposals based on client feedback while balancing pedagogical integrity and operational feasibility
Engagement Oversight & Collaboration
. Support handover to delivery teams to ensure continuity between design and execution
. Act as a coordination point during early stages of programme delivery where required
. Work collaboratively with colleagues across functions, including legal, operations, and programme management
Team Contribution
. Share best practices, tools, and insights with colleagues
. Stay informed on trends in executive education, leadership development, digital learning, and AI
. Contribute to continuous improvement of proposal quality and design processes
. Strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills
. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
. Ability to develop clear, compelling, and well-structured proposals
. Comfortable working in fast-paced, multi-stakeholder environments
. Strong collaboration and organisational skills
. Ability to manage multiple priorities concurrently
. Proficient with standard business software (MS Office) CRM experience is an advantage
Qualifications& Experience
Education
. Bachelor's degree minimum (Master's preferred) in Business Administration, Strategy, Marketing, or a related discipline
Experience
. 5-8 years of experience within the higher level executive education industry including learning solution and pedagogical design
. Exposure to executive education business development and proposal writing
Additional Information
This is a fixed-term, full-time position based in Singapore for a period of five months. The role is intended to support specific business activities during the assignment period.
