We have built a market-leading global platform connecting millions of travelers to experiences worldwide. But we are just getting started. As we pivot from high-growth startup to global industry titan, the complexity of our decisions has compounded.
The Mission: The era of 10 blue links is ending. We are hiring for the future of Search. You will safeguard our organic dominance while preparing Klook for the AI revolution. You will lead the charge in optimizing for LLMs (Large Language Models) like ChatGPT, Gemini, and Search Generative Experience (SGE). You are half-marketer, half-data scientist.
Key Responsibilities
- Entity Authority: Shift our strategy from keywords to entities. Ensure Klook is the authoritative source for travel data in the Knowledge Graph.
- Technical Excellence: Manage crawl budgets for a site with millions of dynamic pages. Fix Core Web Vitals at scale.
- Schema & Knowledge Graph: Implement advanced Schema.org structured data (Event, Ticket, aggregateRating) to qualify for rich snippets and feed data into LLMs (Large Language Models).
- Server-Side Rendering (SSR) Strategy: Guide the engineering team on the SEO implications of Single Page Applications (SPA). Ensure pre-rendering or Dynamic Rendering is correctly implemented for search bots.
- GEO Strategy: Experiment with structured data and content formats that get picked up by AI answers/snapshots. You will define what ranking looks like in a chat-based search world.
- Technical Audit Mastery: Expert user of DeepCrawl (Lumar), Botify, or Screaming Frog. You can handle crawls of 5M+ URLs without crashing the software.
- Web Performance: Deep understanding of the Critical Rendering Path. You know how to minify JS/CSS and defer non-critical assets to boost PageSpeed scores.
- LLM Optimization: Familiarity with RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) conceptsunderstanding how to structure content so it is easily retrievable by AI search agents.
The Must-Haves (SME Criteria):
- Proven success managing SEO for a site with 1M+ indexed pages (Programmatic SEO experience is a huge plus).
- Future-Ready: You can articulate a strategy for Generative AI optimizationyou aren't just reacting to it.
- Strong technical background (Python for SEO, Log File Analysis, SQL).
The Ideal Candidate
The Background (Hard Skills & Tech Stack)
- Programmatic Scale: 10+ years in SEO, specifically managing Programmatic SEO for sites with 1M+ dynamic pages (Aggregators, Marketplaces, Directories).
- Future-Proof: Demonstrated strategy for SGE (Search Generative Experience) and LLM optimization. You are already optimizing for ChatGPT and Perplexity, not just Google.
- Technical Depth: Proficiency in Python (Pandas/Advertools) for automation and Log File Analysis (Splunk/Kibana) for crawl budget optimization.
- Rendering Strategy: Deep understanding of SSR (Server Side Rendering) vs. CSR vs. Dynamic Rendering and how it impacts indexation.
The DNA (Mindset & Culture)
- The Evangelist: You can explain Crawl Budget to a C-level executive and Business Value to a Junior Developer. You know how to get SEO tickets prioritized.
- Data-Driven, Not Voodoo: You don't believe in SEO magic. You believe in hypothesis, test, measure, and iterate.
- Global Mindset: You understand the nuances of international SEO (ccTLDs, Hreflang) and search engines beyond Google (Naver, Yahoo! Japan).
Why Join Us
