The Opportunity

As an Associate Director within our Planning & Design team, you will play a key role in leading the delivery of complex urban design, master planning and built form projects while contributing to the growth and success of our business. These projects are located across Asia Pacific (Southeast Asia and the Middle East in particular).

Working closely with clients, stakeholders and multidisciplinary teams across Cistri and Urbis, you will combine technical expertise, leadership and commercial acumen to deliver exceptional outcomes and help shape great places and communities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the delivery of complex urban design, master planning and built form projects from concept through to detailed design.
  • Manage project scope, budgets, resourcing, timelines and commercial performance.
  • Prepare and lead high-quality proposals, tenders and client presentations.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, generating repeat work and new business opportunities.
  • Provide leadership, coaching and mentoring to team members, supporting their growth and development.
  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive team culture.
  • Drive collaboration across Cistri and Urbis to deliver integrated, multidisciplinary solutions.
  • Contribute to business planning, team initiatives and the achievement of revenue and utilisation targets.
  • Represent Cistri within the industry and maintain awareness of market trends and emerging opportunities.

About You

  • 10+ years experience in urban design, architecture, landscape architecture, planning or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering complex projects within a consultancy or design environment.
  • Strong client relationship management and business development capabilities.
  • Proven leadership skills with experience mentoring and developing high-performing teams.
  • Commercially minded, with experience managing project budgets, forecasting and performance.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Passionate about design excellence, innovation and creating positive outcomes for clients and communities.
