Job Description

  • This is a 12 month contract role, working in a senior Consulting capacity, to assist in a major Middle Office Transformation Project.
  • Salary is dependent on skills and experience, up to a max of $250,000 per annum.
  • Buy-Side experience within an Investment / Asset Management organisation is ESSENTIAL.
  • An operations background is also essential.
  • This role is only open to those currently residing in Singapore.

Overview of Role

  1. Review and refine the current scope and the role of investment operations management based on future operating model.
  2. Provide leadership and guidance to Investment Operations Lead and SMEs, in defining the controls required with the objective of strengthening the end-to-end process, including integration with third-party vendor processes.
  3. Review and suggest enhancements to the procedure manual of Ops team to ensure proper documentation to institutionalize knowledge.
  4. Identify key risk areas, make recommendations to mitigate identified risks and propose new controls to create a more robust end-to-end process.
  5. Collaborate with key stakeholders including the service providers to conduct impact assessment to identify the as-is processes, systems, and the future processes, systems and structures.
  6. Maintain relationships with stakeholders and obtains formal signoff of all requirement documentation.
  7. Liaise with service providers to ensure understanding of requirements and limitations of solutions.
  8. Facilitate workshops sessions with internal and external stakeholders to explore solution options and work closely with them to complete solution design documents based on recommendation.
  9. Contribute to project management processes, including status reporting, risk and issue log, change request assessment, governance.
  10. Supports Change Management activities by providing information as required to facilitate effective communications.
  11. Facilitate discussions between Service provider and third parties including Custodians and Counterparties to support future operating model.

Qualifications / Experience Required

  1. Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  2. Minimum of 15 years in Asset management industry experience performing a similar role
  3. Working experience in major asset classes and associated analytics.
  4. Strong knowledge base spanning across asset classes particularly derivatives, fixed income and equity markets
  5. Good understanding of Middle Office and Back Office outsourcing arrangements
  6. Experience with Blackrock Aladdin system is an advantage
