Job Description

Our client is a global strategic intelligence and advisory firm supporting leading multinational corporations, financial institutions, and investment funds. They specialise in delivering high-quality commercial due diligence, risk analysis, and market intelligence across complex and high-growth markets, particularly in Asia. Their work combines deep research, human source intelligence, and strategic analysis to help clients make informed investment and business decisions.

As an Associate Director, Asia, you will lead end-to-end project execution, from defining research strategy to delivering client-ready reports and presentations. This role is a primarily research-driven and analytical role focused on delivering strategic intelligence and commercial insights across Asia. While the role involves occasional client interaction (e.g., presenting findings), it is not a sales or business development position and carries no revenue targets.

【Responsibilities】
Project Leadership & Research Strategy
- Lead commercial due diligence and counterparty analysis across Asia
- Define key research questions, investigative focus areas, and methodologies
- Develop strategies for public records research and human source engagement

Analysis & Intelligence Gathering
- Evaluate the credibility of sources and the intelligence gathered
- Analyse commercial, operational, regulatory, and integrity risks
- Interrogate findings and identify follow-up leads

Reporting & Client Delivery
- Produce clear, structured, and commercially sound reports
- Synthesise complex data into actionable insights
- Present findings to stakeholders, including investment teams, legal teams, and senior executives

Stakeholder Engagement
- Support client briefings and presentations when required
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders to ensure quality delivery

Network Development
- Build and maintain a strong network of human intelligence sources across Asia
- Identify and address gaps in sectoral, regional, or jurisdictional coverage

Requirement

【Requirements & Preferences】
(Must)
- Bachelor's Degree
- At least 6 years of relevant experience (including research, analysis, and report writing) in strategic consultancy, commercial advisory, investment analysis, & compliance within consulting, financial services, or advisory environments
- Excellent command of written and spoken English
- Deep understanding of commercial and regulatory risks in Asia
- Proven ability to manage complex projects independently

(Advantageous)
- Experience in consulting/financial services will be highly regarded
- Background in government, think tanks, or research institutions (also highly regarded)
- Prior experience in team management and project management (2-3 years preferred)
