The Associate Director, APAC CONNEXT Medical Affairs role is accountable for defining, prioritizing, and governing business capabilities for
Medical Information and
Field Medical enabled through a new and transformative AI driven Customer Engagement Platform (CONNEXT CRM).
The role translates APAC Medical Affairs strategy and market needs into a clear product roadmap that balances global standardization with required localization across diverse APAC markets. The role partners with Commercial Excellence, Technology, Privacy, Quality, Regulatory, Safety and Global and Regional CONNEXT CRM teams to ensure compliant, scalable solutions, strong adoption, and measurable outcomes across the end-to-end medical information inquiry lifecycle and field medical engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the APAC product roadmap for Medical Affairs CONNEXT CRM capabilities supporting Medical Information (as Business Product Owner) and Field Medical (as Medical Lead and Subject Matter Expert to inform overall Field CRM Business Product), aligned with Global standards and APAC priorities.
- Establish APAC demand intake and prioritization specifically for Medical Information and Field Medical needs; translate requirements into a well-groomed backlog (user stories, acceptance criteria), and manage releases with clear scope, value, and market readiness.
- Ensure compliance by design within CONNEXT CRM for Medical Information inquiries and Field Medical interactions in partnership with Safety, Quality, Regulatory, Legal, and Privacy-accounting for APAC country-specific requirements and data residency constraints.
- Lead APAC governance for Medical Information and Field Medical capabilities in CONNEXT CRM and maintain documentation, approvals, and traceability.
- Partner with APAC and Market Medical Information leaders, Field Medical leadership, Digital/IT, Data & Analytics, and vendors to deliver deployments and releases, and a sustainable support model for inquiry case management and field medical usage.
- Drive APAC change management and adoption for CONNEXT CRM across Medical Information and Field Medical user groups, ensuring consistent use of inquiry workflows and field medical activity standards.
- Define and monitor APAC performance metrics for CONNEXT CRM focused on Medical Information and Field Medical outcomes and drive continuous improvement.
- Drive master data and taxonomy alignment in CONNEXT CRM for APAC across Field Medical and Medical Information and define integration requirements, considering market-specific identifiers and reporting needs.

- Successful APAC deployment waves and releases delivered on time, with validated readiness for Medical Information Case management and Field Medical ways of working.
- High and sustained adoption of CONNEXT CRM across APAC for Field Medical (MSLs) and Medical Information teams, with improved user satisfaction and productivity.
- Improved quality, consistency, and actionability of scientific/medical insights captured in CONNEXT CRM, enabling regional and market-level decision making.
- Improved data quality in CONNEXT CRM across APAC markets for HCP interactions, and medical inquiry records supporting reliable reporting and auditability.
- Compliance performance maintained or improved for medical enquiries and field medical interactions (AE/PC capture, privacy/consent adherence, record retention, audit outcomes) with evidence suitable for APAC market inspections and internal audits.
Required Qualifications / Experience
- 5+ years in pharma/biotech Medical Affairs with demonstrated experience in Medical Information operations and/or Field Medical (MSL) enablement; experience working across multiple APAC markets preferred.
- Demonstrated product ownership or business analysis experience for CRM/customer engagement platforms including change management
- Strong understanding of APAC Medical Affairs processes for Medical Information and Field Medical (MSL engagement, account planning, insights capture) and how they are enabled within customer experience platforms
- Working knowledge of regulated requirements relevant to medical customer engagement, including navigating diverse APAC market expectations and data residency constraints.
- Proven stakeholder management and influence skills across functions in a matrix spanning multiple markets and time zones.
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English; additional APAC languages (e.g., Mandarin, Japanese, Korean) are a plus.
- Up to 20% travel across APAC
