Associate Design Director

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the design team (interior designers and drafters) in the conceptualization, development, and implementation of interior design and renovation projects from inception through completion

• Ensure design quality, technical accuracy, and timely delivery of project requirements

• Develop and oversee design conceptualization, including preparation of design concepts with detailed material selections and specifications in accordance with client requirements

• Assist in managing design development and site implementation independently from project inception through completion

• Oversee the preparation of design presentations including 3D visuals, perspective drawings, color renderings, and layout plans with detailed material specifications

• Ensure proper understanding and application of technical aspects of design implementation and construction requirements

• Prepare, review, or supervise the preparation of tender drawings and documentation in accordance with project design requirements

• Liaise and coordinate with clients, contractors, consultants, and other stakeholders to ensure project requirements meet design, budgetary, and technical specifications

• Ensure prompt and professional delivery of design services and solutions while maintaining high standards of quality and professionalism

• Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to members of the design team to support continuous improvement and efficient project execution

• Perform such other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned by management or stakeholders from time to time, consistent with the nature of the role

Requirements

• Proven experience in interior design leadership, including supervision of designers and drafters

• Strong portfolio demonstrating project management from concept through completion

• Expertise in design conceptualization, material selection, and specification development

• Proficiency in preparing and overseeing design presentations, 3D visuals, and technical drawings

• Solid understanding of construction requirements and technical aspects of design implementation

• Experience preparing or supervising tender drawings and documentation

• Strong coordination skills with clients, contractors, consultants, and other stakeholders

• Ability to deliver design services promptly and professionally

• Demonstrated leadership and mentorship capabilities

• Willingness to perform additional duties as assigned by management
