RySense is a Singapore-based research organisation. We focus on conducting research to understand what people in Singapore think, feel and do. Our primary areas of interest include social trends and public opinion. Using robust approaches, we seek to generate reliable insights about the Singapore landscape which reflect both subtle nuances and macro perspectives.

JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a motivated and versatile Associate Data Expert to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible the quality and integrity of research and analytical outputs by applying established research methodologies to deliver project-based outcomes. The candidate will also actively drive process optimization and data automation initiatives, while providing guidance to junior team members to ensure policy and process compliance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure prescribed methodologies, protocols, and analytical techniques are applied to maintain quality and consistency of project deliverables.
  • Identify escalate data issues, uncertainties, or deviations from established methodologies.
  • Perform data cleaning, wrangling and transformation to support organizational data transformation initiatives.
  • Design and conduct statistical / machine learning models to analyse patterns and trends in datasets.
  • Develop and implement predictive models for simulations, forecasting etc. to identify potential business risks and opportunities.
  • Optimize existing user / operational workflows for both technical and non-technical users.
  • Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation to ensure work is reproducible and reviewable.
  • Demonstrate commitment to governance, risk management and compliance in the use data, AI tools, and systems (e.g. PDPA, AI governance guidelines).
  • Be a Data Champion by providing support or supervision to colleagues on how to use, analyse and interpret data across relevant analytical methods / techniques.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Degree in Statistics, Data Science, Data Analytics, Social Sciences (Quantitative focus) or other related fields
  • Minimum 4-5 years of work experience in a relevant research role
  • Proficiency in programming languages e.g. SQL, Python or R, and knowledge of SPSS is a must
  • Knowledge of data visualisation tools (e.g. PowerBI/Canva/Tableau) will be a plus
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills for complex solutioning
  • Ability to engage with both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Passionate about driving a culture of continuous process improvement and innovation
