We are looking for a talented and driven Associate to join our highly regarded corporate real estate & hospitality team in Singapore. The successful candidate will advise on a broad range of real estate transactions, with a focus on corporate structuring, acquisitions, disposals, leasing, and development projects. Experience in hotels, hospitality, and leisure assets will be considered a strong advantage.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise clients on corporate real estate matters, including acquisitions, disposals, joint ventures, and leasing arrangements.
- Draft, review, and negotiate transaction documents such as sale and purchase agreements, leases, management contracts, and financing documents.
- Provide legal support on real estate development projects, including regulatory and compliance matters.
- Assist in structuring deals involving cross-border investments and complex ownership arrangements.
- Collaborate with colleagues across practice areas (corporate, intellectual property, dispute resolution, etc) to deliver integrated solutions.
- Conduct due diligence and prepare reports for clients and stakeholders.
- Stay abreast of market trends, regulatory changes, and industry developments in the real estate and hospitality sectors.
Requirements
- Qualified lawyer with 2–4 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) in corporate real estate or related practice areas.
- Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple transactions and deadlines.
- Excellent communication and client management skills.
- Prior exposure to hotel, hospitality, and leisure transactions is highly desirable.
- Experience and familiarity with the online INLIS portal including conducting searches and drafting instruments is highly desirable.
- Team-oriented, proactive, and commercially minded.
- Great attitude to learning and being trained in specialist areas.
Good to Have
- Experience advising on hotel management agreements, franchise arrangements, or leisure asset transactions.
- Familiarity with cross-border hospitality investments and regulatory frameworks.
- Understanding of operational and branding considerations in the hospitality sector.
