Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team as Financing Operations Agency Middle Office. The position is responsible for executing critical credit administration tasks at APME reginal level, including documentation, monitoring of limit/covenant/collateral and reporting for bilateral and syndicated loan facilities. This role is accountable for providing high-quality service as facility/security agent and also contribute to operational improvements and change initiatives.

Main Responsibilities:

Client & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Collaborate with internal parties - Front Office and legal counsel as well as external parties - borrowers and buyers on documentation processes.
  • Coordinate operational aspects of syndicated facilities, including utilization requests, rate-fixing, and rollovers between borrowers and lenders.
  • Proactively engage borrowers to ensure timely submission of required information (financials, compliance reports, etc.).
  • Manage borrower and lender communications for waiver, consent, and amendment requests.
  • Participate in regular catchup with FO and BO to discuss about deal pipe and any challenges

Operational Duties / Business-as-Usual (BAU)

  • Support Front Office in the pitching of Agency mandates.
  • Provide day-to-day control and monitoring for Loan Agency function for syndicated facilities where the bank assumes agency roles such as Facility / Security Agent / Account Bank role(s).
  • Review draft facility agreement and ensure it complies with credit approval and internal booking policy
  • Check and secure safekeeping of all relevant documentation.
  • Implement and maintain facility limit within the LIQ system.
  • Ensure all documentation is completed, all conditions precedent are perfected and any deviations are approved by the appropriate management staff.
  • Monitor covenant status and escalate to Credit/FO for any breach
  • Monitor collateral and its valuation in LIQ
  • Reporting activities:
  • Daily and Monthly monitoring (covenant breach report, outstanding documents report and Limit excess report etc)
  • Regulatory reporting, handling of regulatory, external and internal audits
  • Ad hoc reports for management; reviews; setting up, tracking and optimizing performance and compliance indicators

Governance, Compliance and Risk Management

  • Manage the administration of syndicated facilities where the bank acts in an agency capacity (e.g., Facility Agent, Security Agent, Account Bank).
  • Ensure the integrity of loan agreements and monitor covenant and collateral status accordingly
  • Contribute to reporting and analysis of operational issues and incidents

Continuous Improvement & Innovation

  • Identify continuous improvement opportunities, lead together with the Change Agent and support change initiatives to enhance performance, standardize and streamline processes, and upgrade systems.
  • Learn & use leveraging Low Code / No Code solutions like Alteryx, PowerBI and internal AI tools
  • Contribute to strategic and ad-hoc projects that improve operational efficiency/scalability and client experience

Required Skills:

  • A relevant degree in Banking & Finance or a related Accountancy discipline is required.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a Syndication, Agency, or Middle-Office capacity is necessary, coupled with strong analytical and credit skills. Prior experience in structured financing is also expected
  • Loan IQ exposure is a plus
  • Proven ability to identify and resolve operational or system-based issues through root cause analysis and process improvements
  • A highly self-motivated individual with a results-oriented approach
  • Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet the deadlines
  • Understanding of the technology used in investment banking is necessary to manage systems and tools effectively and propose innovative enhancements
  • Strong Stakeholder management and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across functions & geographies.
