Investment Banking

Responsibilities
- Member of AeJ Loans Financing Team, encompassing Leveraged Finance (ALF) and Private Credit (PFG) products
- Involvement throughout the lifecycle of a transaction:
- Initial screening and financial analysis to support a recommendation
- Preparation of background and pitch materials
- Financial and business due diligence
- Review and providing inputs into documentation, including security arrangements, financial covenants
- Preparation of materials for approvals from risk functions and other internal stakeholders, and for approval by relevant transaction committee
- Management of a transaction to successfully achieve milestones (signing commitment letters, funding agreements etc), and further through to closing - working with Finance and Operations
- Providing support to monitor performance of the borrower while the loan remains outstanding
- Coordination with all relevant internal stakeholders including loans teams in AeJ and other regions country and sector bankers in Investment Banking business partners in Global Markets corporate functions including CRM, Market Risk, Legal, Compliance, Finance, Operations.
- Direct interaction with clients, and also other banks in the case of syndicated transactions
Job Requirements:
- At least 5 years Investment Banking experience
- At least 5 years of experience working with ALF and PFG products, resulting in strong familiarity with all parts of a transaction lifecycle
- Transaction experience across a broad range of countries, including Singapore and South East Asia, India, Australia & New Zealand, Hong Kong / China
- Transaction experience across a broad range of sectors including Telecom Media Services, Infrastructure & Industrials, Healthcare, Consumer & Retail, Financial Institutions
- A strong understanding of finance and accounting, and alternative business models to quickly and accurately assess the creditworthiness of issuers, and different scenarios open to them
- A broad exposure to private credit products and an understanding of where specific products may be used to address specific borrower and investor needs
- Strong inter-personal skills and the ability to work with different teams, sometimes at short notice, and to deliver consistent results whilst multi-tasking
- An ability to establish a strong rapport with clients at working level
- An advanced level of numeracy, and an ability to think on your feet
- Strong English written skills
- Well developed presentation skills, and comfort in addressing group audiences
- Proficiency using Excel (including for advanced financial modelling) and other Microsoft products, Bloomberg, Salesforce
