The Vice President will be responsible for overseeing and validating trade lifecycle processes in Global Markets, driving operational excellence, risk mitigation, and process innovation. The role will leverage Generative AI (GenAI) tools to enhance efficiency, analytics, and knowledge management.
Key Responsibilities:
Trade Lifecycle Oversight
- Validate and monitor trade capture, confirmation, settlement, and reconciliation processes.
- Ensure timely resolution of trade breaks and exceptions in coordination with front-office, risk, and technology teams.
- Maintain high standards of operational control and compliance with regulatory and internal policies.
Process Improvement & Automation
- Identify inefficiencies in trade and operational processes and propose workflow enhancements.
- Apply GenAI tools to automate routine documentation and reporting tasks.
- Enhance data analysis, exception handling, and insights generation from unstructured data (e.g., emails, trade notes).
- Improve operational knowledge sharing and training materials using AI-driven solutions.
System & Change Support
- Participate in system testing, UAT, and implementation of new products or regulatory changes.
- Contribute to cross-functional projects and collaborate with global teams to align operational best practices.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field.
- 5-8 years of experience in banking operations, preferably within Global Markets or Derivatives.
- Strong understanding of derivatives products and post-trade processes.
- Experience with operational platforms such as Murex or MarkitWire is preferred.
- Familiarity with GenAI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Copilot, Claude) and practical applications in financial operations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills across functions and geographies.
