Job Description

The merger of Aviva Singapore and Singlife was announced in September 2020 and created one of the largest homegrown financial services companies in Singapore in a deal valued at S$3.2 billion. It was the largest insurance deal in Singapore at the time.

Singlife was subsequently acquired by Sumitomo Life in March 2024, one of Japan's leading life insurers, which valued Singlife at S$4.6 billion, making the transaction one of the largest insurance deals in Southeast Asia.

Purpose:

  • This role will contribute to driving the digital roadmap of products within Singlife
  • Understand every detail of the product from design to functionality to usability while understanding the broad needs of busines
  • Able to see the big picture while being hands-on with the details at the same time
  • Works with the team to maintain and deliver strategic and tactical features in the product roadmap with lean approach

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the cross functional teams to assess the impact end-to-end and create user stories capturing functional requirements for the teams to build.
  • Be the representative of the digital product to internal teams and leadership
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations relating to the above functional activities.

Experience

  • 5-7 years experience as a Digital product owner
  • Strong experience in rolling out end to end digital products by working with development teams.
  • Strong influencing and negotiating capability to communicate the product vision across the organisation.
  • Experience in business analysis in Fintech/Insurtech would be a bonus.
  • Knowledge of User experience design, Design thinking and Customer journey mapping.
  • Purpose driven with strong desire to deliver real outcome and impact.

Education

  • Academic: Bachelor's/Master's degree (preferred)
