Establish and implement Security Policies, Standards and Procedures (align with Authority's policies) on defence projects to ensure compliance across Business Areas (BAs). This also involves regular updating of policies to address emerging threats and evolving security landscape.
Oversees the development and implementation of Security Education & Training programs, and ensure all Defence & Public Security (DPS) employees are equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills to effectively respond to security threats and adhere to security requirements. This entails assessing training needs, designing curriculum, and coordinating with internal stakeholders to ensure effectiveness of security education.
Provide oversight of Security Audit and Inspection checks to ensure compliance and identify weaknesses in the areas of document, information, physical, personnel and IT security. In addition, stay abreast of authority's standards and policy changes to continuously strengthen the DPS Security Audit and Inspection System.
Oversees Security Investigation and Analysis efforts to identify causal factors and improve security policies and processes. This entails leading investigations into security breaches and incidents, and collaborate with authority when necessary. In addition, analyses data to proactively identify leading indicators and develop security measures to enhance the DPS security system.
Oversees the implementation of Security Technologies and Innovation (such as AI, machine learning, and biometrics) to enhance threat detection and response capabilities. In addition, explore emerging technologies and integrate them into the DPS's security infrastructure to stay ahead of evolving threats.
Inculcate a positive security culture within DPS where security becomes the second nature for all employees.
Develop and implement the Security Incident Management and Reporting framework. This entails establishing protocols for timely reporting and response to security incidents, ensuring minimal disruption to operations. In addition, oversees the creation of incident reports and conduct post-incident reviews to identify lessons learned and implement improvements to prevent future occurrences.
Provide leadership and guidance to Security Leads in BAs and business units in ensuring compliance and alignment in the areas of Security Policy Governance, Education & Training, Audit & Inspection, Investigation & Analysis and Technology & Innovation.
Oversees the competencies and sustainability of security personnel in DPS cluster. This entails developing security qualification & currency framework, and security HR ecosystem to maintain competencies and career progression.
Establish security workplans to strengthen security system in the areas of Security Policy Governance, Education & Training, Audit & Inspection, Investigation & Analysis and Technology & Innovation.
