Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Vice President (AVP) in Procurement to join our team in Singapore. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in driving procurement strategies, optimizing supplier relationships, and ensuring cost-effective purchasing across the organization. This is an exciting opportunity for a procurement professional to contribute to our continued growth and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the procurement team to deliver best-in-class sourcing and procurement solutions.

  • Develop, implement, and monitor procurement strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure alignment with organizational goals.

  • Drive cost savings initiatives and value creation through effective negotiation and supplier management.

  • Oversee end-to-end procurement processes, including tendering, contract management, and supplier performance evaluation.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and industry standards.

  • Analyze market trends and identify opportunities for continuous improvement and innovation in procurement practices.

  • Prepare and present procurement reports, analysis, and recommendations to senior management.

  • Mentor and develop procurement staff, fostering a culture of high performance and professional growth.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of five years experience in procurement, contract management, or vendor management roles in the IT area.

  • Experience in business management and strategic sourcing.

  • Experience in formulating supplier negotiation strategies to address commercial and contractual aspects, including boilerplates and KPIs/SLAs.

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field. Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CIPS, CPM) is an advantage.

  • Proven track record in strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, and supplier management.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management abilities.

  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.

  • Experience in the Singapore market and knowledge of regional procurement regulations is preferred.
