Assistant Vice President, Downstream Energy

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Downstream Energy, Asia Placement Hub team at Marsh. This role will be based in Singapore. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

This role involves managing client relationships, supporting client executives, and assisting in the placement and administration of (re)insurance policies. You will collaborate across teams to ensure seamless client service delivery, effective risk placement, and operational support.

We will count on you to:

. Act as both the main and supporting client communication point of contact for Downstream Energy clients across the region.
. Provide support and guidance on Downstream Energy risks and associated business exposures.
. Prepare and deliver pre-quotation, quotation, and post-placement presentations and half-yearly market updates to clients.
. Negotiate lead terms with reinsurers and obtain client green light to place risks.
. Oversee and/or market risks to reinsurers in Asia, Middle East, and London, and manage placement documentation including mud maps, subjectivities, and summaries of cover.
. Coordinate surveys, client meetings, events, and assist with endorsements, policy changes, and premium worksheet maintenance.

What you need to have:

. Bachelor's degree in Business, Insurance, Risk Management or other relevant degree applicable to the business.
. 2-5 years of client management experience or 1-3 years in insurance broking or underwriting roles.
. Strong client service, communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and insurance-related software systems.
