Job Description

The merger of Aviva Singapore and Singlife was announced in September 2020 and created one of the largest homegrown financial services companies in Singapore in a deal valued at S$3.2 billion. It was the largest insurance deal in Singapore at the time.

Singlife was subsequently acquired by Sumitomo Life in March 2024, one of Japan's leading life insurers, which valued Singlife at S$4.6 billion, making the transaction one of the largest insurance deals in Southeast Asia.

Key Appointments

  • Supporting the Head of Data by oversee the aata team in the various activities to support the Business to Business team function in Navigator Investment Services Ltd.

Key Responsibilities

As the team leader, to provide oversight on the following

  • Daily and month reporting of business metrics to key stakeholders and senior management
  • Create visually appealing and insightful data visualizations to communicate complex findings and insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Perform statistical and performance-related analysis with validation checks.
  • Provide ad-hoc data pulls for various business units.
  • Ensure accuracy and validation of campaign tracking and campaign fulfillment
  • Document methodologies, procedures, and findings in a clear and concise manner to ensure knowledge sharing and maintain accurate records.
  • Data migration on advisors, clients and trade data across trading platforms.

Requirements

Experience

  • At least 5 years of experience in data analytics or a related field.
  • Proficiency in SQL is mandatory, proficiency in Python is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data visualization tools (preferably Qlik).
  • Previous industry experience in trading platform is preferred.
  • Experience in using GenAI tools or AI agents for coding purposes or data analysis is preferred.
  • Good communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex results into understandable and actionable insights.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree or above in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Business Analytics, Economics, or a related quantitative field
