Job Description

The Assistant Stage Manager is responsible for assisting the daily operations of the stage and ensuring smooth execution of performances, events, and rehearsals. This role coordinates between Stage manager, performers, technical teams, and management to ensure all stage activities are conducted efficiently, safely, and according to schedule.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist SM show area inspection before the show.
  • Assist in the management of costumes and props for the performance.
  • Manage rehearsal/performance presets, scene changes, and backstage operations.
  • Supervise running crew as needed.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or above in Stage Management, Theatre, Film & Television Production, Event Management, or a related field.
  • 1 - 3 years of experience as a Stage Manager or Assistant Stage Manager for large-scale live performances (touring or resident shows preferred). Prior experience in theme park live entertainment.
  • Proficient in show calling, cueing, and technical coordination; solid knowledge of stage safety and emergency procedures; skilled in writing detailed show reports.
  • Must be bilingual in English and Mandarin, capable of cross-departmental coordination and preparing reports in both languages.
  • Ability to work flexible hours (evenings, weekends, holidays) in a fast-paced environment. Must be adaptable to non-standard work hours.
  • Strong leadership, organizational skills, and ability to work under pressure.
