ASSISTANT SITE ENGINEER (MECHANICAL)

Job Responsibilities

• Supervise daily construction activities and ensure work is carried out according to approved drawings and specifications.
• Coordinate with project managers, consultants, subcontractors, and workers on site.
• Monitor project progress and ensure work is completed on schedule.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards and safety regulations at the construction site.
• Conduct site inspections and prepare daily or weekly progress reports.
• Assist in resolving technical issues and provide engineering support during construction.
• Check materials delivered to the site and ensure they meet project specifications.
• Maintain proper documentation including site records, safety reports, and drawings.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering / civil engineering or related field with minimum 3 years of construction site experience
• Knowledge of construction methods, safety practices, and quality standards.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and technical documents.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in MS Office and basic engineering software is an advantage.
• Must be willing to work outdoors under hot weather conditions.
• Shift work or extended working hours may be required depending on project schedule.
• Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced construction environment.
