The Assistant Senior Social Worker provides psychosocial assessment, counselling and case management support to beneficiaries and their families, including care planning, financial assistance and discharge coordination. The role also involves supervising junior social workers, facilitating group work and workshops, managing outreach and programme initiatives, and collaborating with community partners and stakeholders to enhance service delivery and accessibility.
Job Description:
- Develop professional and engaged relationship with other key service stakeholders
- Conduct needs assessment and risk assessment for complex cases
- Ensure social reports and documentations are in place
- Lead group work and formulate programmes
- Supervise and guide Social Workers I and II in their work
- Supervise interns and / or students on placement
- Monitor the application of principles and protocols as guided by professional Code of Ethics and identify and respond to ethical concerns in practice
- Identify gaps and trends in research and / or practice
- Design and conduct research under guidance
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor of Social Work / Graduate Diploma in Social Work
- Must be a Registered Social Worker (RSW)with the Singapore Association of Social Workers (SASW)
- At least 3 to 5 years of relevant and direct practice experience (preferably with supervisory experience)
- Candidates with more than 5 years of experience maybe considered for the position of Senior Social Worker
