Job Description

Job Purpose :

The Access and Wellness Division in the Office of Student Affairs (OSA) cultivates caring student life communities that empower every student's unique learning journey and embraces growth beyond academics — supporting personal development, fostering meaningful peer connections, and providing comprehensive socioemotional care through managing distress, transitions, and navigating institutional processes.

The candidate will work closely with the Section Head to support the development and implementation of student wellness strategies, programmes and professional practice frameworks that promote student wellbeing and success. He/she will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to strengthen coordinated support systems for students, enhance professional practice within the Student Wellness team, and contribute to evidence-informed approaches to student support and wellbeing.

The incumbent will play a key role in developing and implementing frameworks, practice guides, partnership networks, and capability-building initiatives to strengthen the University's student support ecosystem.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Support the Section Head in implementing the Student Wellness strategic roadmap and priorities. Lead workgroups in the development, implementation and review of student wellness frameworks, practice guides and operating procedures.
  • Lead the planning, coordination and implementation of capability development initiatives for Student Wellness Managers, Residential Wellness Managers, and student support partners. Guide case discussions and knowledge-sharing sessions to strengthen the capability and practice of the Section and its partners.
  • Provide consultation and guidance to Student Wellness Managers and student support partners on complex student matters and support strategies. Manage selected high-complexity cases requiring coordination across multiple stakeholders.
  • Support the Section Head in partnership development and stakeholder engagement to strengthen referral pathways and support networks. Facilitate cross-functional initiatives that promote coordinated and holistic support for students. Represent the Student Wellness Section in relevant working groups, committees and projects.
  • Develop and implement evaluation frameworks to assess the effectiveness and impact of student wellness initiatives. Analyse service data, student feedback and programme outcomes to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

  • Strong organisational and clinical skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, ensure accountability, and support effective delivery.
  • Experience providing case supervision, consultation or mentoring to helping professionals.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong understanding of mental health, psychological assessment, risk management and intervention planning.
  • IT proficiency, including MS Office applications.
