Job Description

Brief Summary

Join a dynamic team as a Sales Team Manager where you will lead a talented field sales team to achieve outstanding results and drive market success through effective management and strategic planning.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and guide the field sales team, including merchandisers and sales representatives, to ensure high performance and accountability. Foster strong relationships with key modern trade retailers to ensure successful promotions and campaigns. Conduct regular field visits to monitor execution standards and team performance. Collaborate with the reporting manager to develop KPIs and track team performance across various operational roles. Coach and develop team members to enhance skills and address performance gaps. Manage sales incentives and commission schemes to motivate team performance. Coordinate with retailers inventory planners to maintain optimal stock levels aligned with promotional plans. Collaborate closely with Key Account and Trade Marketing teams for effective trade activities and brand initiatives. Gather feedback from the field team on trade activations to assess effectiveness and suggest improvements. Ensure timely delivery of goods in coordination with warehouses and distribution centres.

Requirements

  • Minimum Diploma in Business, Sales & Marketing, or related discipline. At least 5 years of sales experience in the FMCG sector. Demonstrated success in managing and leading field sales teams of 15 or more members. Strong leadership, management, and coaching skills. Excellent communication and ability to manage stakeholder relationships. Solid understanding of modern trade operations and retail execution. Strong planning, coordination, and problem-solving abilities. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications. Possession of a personal vehicle is preferred.
