Our client is a multinational food trading company partnering with a listed Japanese firm. They are seeking an Assistant Sales Manager / Senior Sales Executive to drive sales growth and expand the company's presence across Southeast Asia.
This role reports directly to the Senior Manager.
Territory: Hong Kong
Business Trips: Approximately once a month to Hong Kong (1-week stay)
Clients: Distributors in the assigned territory
Products: Processed Foods
Responsibilities
1) Sales
- Achieve annual sales targets for the assigned territory
- Implement sales activities for both existing and new products
- Liaise closely with distributors regarding promotions, marketing, and sales initiatives
- Monitor sales movement and manage A&P (Advertising & Promotion) expenses
- Identify distributor requirements and propose strategies to select additional distributors as needed
- Prepare and review annual budgets for the area of responsibility
- Analyze regional market trends and identify new business opportunities
- Anticipate potential issues and provide timely solutions
- Participate in strategic decisions related to expansion or acquisitions
- Suggest new services, products, and innovative sales techniques
2) Marketing
- Develop plans to strengthen the company's brand and allocate resources to projects with clear short- and long-term objectives
- Identify opportunities to reach new market segments and expand market share
- Monitor competitors activities, including acquisitions, pricing changes, and new products/features
- Coordinate sales and marketing efforts to increase brand awareness
- Contribute to copywriting, digital marketing, and social media development where relevant
Requirements & Preferences
(Must)
- Diploma or above in a related field
- Minimum 8-10 years of regional sales experience in industries such as FMCG, Retail, Foodservice, or Food Manufacturing
- Experience as a Key Account Manager dealing with distributors or direct selling to clients, customers, or retailers
- Fluency in English and Cantonese (listening, speaking, and writing) for client communication
- Willingness to travel to Hong Kong once a month
