We are looking for an experienced Assistant Sales Manager to strengthen our sales function in the food manufacturing sector. This role is supports the Business Development Manager in executing sales strategies, managing customer relationships, and driving business growth. This role involves sales planning, order coordination, customer engagement, and performance analysis to ensure smooth operations and the achievement of company targets.
Assist the Business Development Manager in planning, developing, and executing sales strategies to achieve company targets.
Manage and grow relationships with existing customers while actively developing new business opportunities.
Prepare, issue, and follow up on quotations and pricing proposals.
Coordinate with the purchasing and logistics teams to ensure smooth order processing, timely deliveries, and stock availability.
Support sales forecasting, monthly usage tracking, and order planning to maintain healthy inventory levels.
Monitor and analyze sales performance, product movement, and customer purchasing trends.
Conduct regular market and competitor analysis, providing updates and insights to management.
Handle customer inquiries, feedback, and complaints to ensure customer satisfaction and long-term retention.
Coordinate product sampling, sales presentations, and new product introductions to customers.
Job Requirements
Diploma or Degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field.
Minimum 3-5 years of sales or business development experience, preferably in B2B or FMCG / manufacturing / distribution industries.
Proven experience in supporting sales planning, forecasting, and customer account management.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain customer relationships.
Good negotiation and presentation skills.
Analytical and detail-oriented, with the ability to track sales performance and interpret market trends.
Able to coordinate effectively with internal teams such as purchasing, logistics, and operations.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) experience with ERP/CRM systems is an advantage.
Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to work independently as well as in a team.
Able to multitask, prioritize work, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
