OVERVIEW
Our client, a leading logistics company, is looking for anAssistant Sales Manager (Forwarding).This position will serve as the No.2 in the sales team, working closely with the local manager and a Japanese senior manager to drive business growth and client satisfaction.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing clients, mainly Japanese companies
Handle new business opportunities in collaboration with overseas group companies and partners
Develop new business and propose solutions for new projects
Prepare quotations, conduct price negotiations, and perform sales activities related to import/export forwarding
Coordinate with internal operations and warehouse teams
Communicate with clients in both English and Japanese
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Must-Have:
Experience in the logistics industry, especially in forwarding sales
Business-level proficiency in English (for internal/external negotiations and reporting)
Business-level proficiency in Japanese (for internal communication)
Ability to adapt to a multicultural work environment and persistently engage in sales activities
Basic knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics processes
Strong coordination and flexibility to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
Preferred:
Experience in consultative or solution-based sales
Detail-oriented, logical, analytical, and strong problem-solving skills
Work experience in Singapore or overseas
Familiarity with multicultural workplace communication
Proactive in building client relationships and developing new business
Strong sense of responsibility and professional business manners
BENEFITS
Salary: Around SGD 5,000/month (depending on experience)
Working hours: Mon-Fri, 9:00-17:30 (minimal overtime)
Fixed bonus (AWS) and performance-based bonus (1-3.5 months)
Annual leave: 14 days/year
