Job Summary
You will contribute to the development and enforcement of safety policies and programmes, driving compliance and continuous improvement in workplace safety within the construction industry. Collaborate closely with the Safety Manager to lead safety audits, incident investigations, and regulatory reporting that support a safe and compliant work environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement safety policies and programmes that enhance workplace safety and regulatory compliance
- Enforce safety standards and regulations in collaboration with the Safety Manager to maintain a safe working environment
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of safety programmes and recommend actionable improvements
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify hazards and implement corrective measures
- Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incident reports, and compliance documentation to ensure traceability and accountability
- Investigate workplace accidents, document findings comprehensively, and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence
- Prepare detailed safety reports for management highlighting incidents, safety trends, and improvement recommendations
- Develop safety protocols for high-risk activities and work areas to mitigate risks effectively
- Prepare and submit safety compliance reports to regulatory agencies in accordance with legal requirements
- Maintain up-to-date safety logs, accident reports, and regulatory compliance documentation
Required competencies and certifications
- Bachelor Degree in Engineering or Health and Safety related disciplines
- Valid MOM registered WSHO license
- Valid NEA registered ECO license
- Valid PUB Registered ECMO license
- Certificate in BizSafe Level 2 Risk Management or equivalent
- Minimum 8 years of working experience in the Construction Industry
- Class 3 driving license and access to a personal vehicle
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Relevant experience in civil and building industry
- Proficient communication skills to collaborate effectively within teams and with stakeholders
- Strong knowledge and understanding of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards
- Proficient written and spoken English skills
