Job Description

Summary:

The Assistant Revenue & Reservations Manager is responsible for supporting the hotel's revenue management strategies and overseeing reservations operations to maximize room revenue, occupancy, ADR, RevPAR, and overall profitability. The role includes monitoring pricing strategies, room inventory, distribution channels, market trends, and reservations performance while ensuring efficient coordination between departments and delivering excellent guest service. The Assistant Revenue & Reservations Manager plays a key role in optimizing hotel performance, revenue opportunities, and operational efficiency.

1. Revenue Management

  • Assist in implementing revenue management strategies to maximize room revenue, occupancy, ADR, and RevPAR.
  • Monitor daily room inventory, market demand, competitor pricing, and booking trends.
  • Support pricing strategies, promotions, and room allocation decisions based on market analysis.
  • Prepare revenue forecasts, statistical reports, and performance analysis for Management review.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and historical data to identify revenue opportunities.
  • Coordinate with Sales and Marketing teams on promotional campaigns and business strategies.
  • Monitor pace reports, pick-up trends, and booking windows to support pricing decisions.

2. Reservations Operations

  • Oversee daily reservations operations to ensure accuracy and efficiency in handling bookings.
  • Ensure all reservations are processed accurately in accordance with hotel policies and procedures.
  • Monitor room availability, overbookings, no-shows, and room inventory control.
  • Ensure timely response to reservation enquiries via phone, email, online platforms, and travel agents.
  • Handle VIP reservations, group bookings, and special guest requests professionally.
  • Maintain accurate guest profiles, booking records, and reservation documentation.

3. Distribution Channel Management

  • Monitor online travel agents (OTAs), Global Distribution Systems (GDS), and hotel booking channels performance, channel costs and production contribution.
  • Ensure room rates, availability, and hotel information are updated accurately across all platforms.
  • Coordinate with third-party booking partners and distribution channels to optimize revenue opportunities.
  • Assist in managing rate parity and online distribution strategies.

4. Guest Service & Coordination

  • Ensure high standards of customer service and guest satisfaction in reservations handling.
  • Handle guest complaints, booking issues, and service recovery professionally and promptly.
  • Coordinate closely with Front Office, Sales, Housekeeping, and Revenue teams to ensure smooth operations.
  • Ensure VIP reservations, special requests, and guest preferences are properly coordinated with operational departments.

5. Reporting & Administrative Responsibilities

  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reservations and revenue reports.
  • Monitor booking pace, cancellations, market segmentation, and revenue performance.
  • Ensure proper filing and documentation of reservation records and contracts.
  • Assist in budget preparation and departmental planning.
  • Ensure compliance with hotel policies, procedures, and brand standards.

6. Systems & Compliance

  • Monitor system updates, rate loading, and inventory configuration.
  • Ensure compliance with Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) requirements relating to guest information.
  • Support implementation of operational improvements and system enhancements.

7. Commercial & Market Analysis

  • Support commercial decision-making through market analysis and revenue performance evaluation.
  • Monitor competitor positioning, pricing movements, and demand patterns.
  • Participate in weekly revenue strategy meetings and business reviews.
  • Recommend opportunities to improve market penetration and revenue generation.

Any other ad hoc duties as directed.

Qualification:

  • Degree or Diploma in Hospitality Management, Revenue Management, Business Administration, or related discipline.

Experience:

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Reservations or Revenue Management within the hospitality industry.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong understanding of hotel reservations and revenue management principles.
  • Good analytical and forecasting skills.
  • Strong understanding of ADR, RevPAR, occupancy, and market segmentation.
  • Good knowledge of OTA, GDS, PMS, and channel management systems.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and hotel revenue systems.
