Role Overview:
As the Assistant Relationship Manager, you will be responsible for assisting the Relationship Manager (RM) to manage our relationships with customers within the assigned portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support RM in providing admin service to clients especially of high visibility or complex requirements
- Assist in providing updated market information to clients
- Handle client's request and instructions directly, including trade processing and inquiries on operational issues
- Collect and prepare documentation for account opening, KYC and risk profiling
- Work closely with internal partners on monitoring the entire trade processing, including order placement into the system, settlement and confirmation
- Processing remittance (including callbacks with client)
- Preparation of RM's business trip and client meetings
- Assist in other ad-hoc projects and client related matters
- Deputizing other ARMs on ad-hoc basis
- Participate in projects assigned
- Adhere to VP Bank's policies and procedures thereby protecting the business from financial and reputational risk
- Comply with relevant Group policies, consider and escalate the adequacy and effectiveness of the business controls on a regular basis
- Follow operating procedures which include relevant controls to meet group and local policy requirements
- Escalate client and risk issues to Team head or Members of Front Office Management where necessary
- Continuous upgrade of relevant skills and completion of CACS requirement on CPD hours
- Administrative support and other duties as assigned by higher management
Required Profile:
- Degree or equivalent is required
- Possess relevant regulatory papers - CMFAS 1B, 6, 6A, CACS 1 & 2
- 3 years of Assistant Relationship Manager experience in Private Bank
- Customer focused and good interpersonal as well as communication skills
- Team oriented personality with attention to detail
- High self-motivation, positive and possess a can do and pro-active attitude
- Excellent administrative and execution track records
- Ability to provide organization and client focus solutions
- Strong understanding and experience of investment products
- Professional written and verbal communication skills with good command of English and Mandarin. Proficient in Bahasa is an advantage, though not required.
