Job Summary

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager (Solar Projects) to support the planning, coordination, and execution of commercial and utility-scale solar projects in Singapore.

This role is primarily focused on project management, schedule control, stakeholder coordination, and execution follow-up, while also requiring sufficient engineering understanding to review technical documents, coordinate with engineering teams, and ensure smooth project delivery.

The ideal candidate should be able to manage project timelines, work closely with internal and external stakeholders, monitor on-site progress, and support the successful completion of solar projects from development to handover.

Key Responsibilities

. Assist in managing the full project lifecycle of solar projects, from site assessment and design coordination to installation, commissioning, and handover.

. Coordinate project schedules, milestones, deliverables, and resources to ensure timely completion.

. Monitor project progress closely and follow up on action items, risks, delays, and bottlenecks.

. Liaise with internal teams, external consultants, EPC contractors, suppliers, clients, and authorities to support smooth project execution.

. Support the review and coordination of technical documents, including solar layouts, single-line diagrams, engineering drawings, BOQ/BOM, method statements, and project submissions.

. Track and follow up on design submissions, authority approvals, permits, inspections, and compliance requirements.

. Attend project meetings, site meetings, and coordination discussions prepare meeting minutes and ensure follow-up actions are properly closed.

. Support site execution by monitoring installation progress, contractor performance, quality issues, and project timelines.

. Work with engineering and procurement teams to ensure equipment and material delivery schedules align with project requirements.

. Assist in identifying project risks and proposing practical solutions to avoid delays or cost overruns.

. Maintain project documentation, reports, schedules, checklists, variation logs, and handover records.

. Support testing, commissioning, project close-out, and final documentation submission.

. Perform any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

. Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, Mechanical Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.

. Minimum 2-4 years of relevant experience in solar, renewable energy, electrical, construction, or infrastructure projects.

. Experience in project coordination, project execution, site supervision, or contractor management will be an advantage.

. Basic to intermediate understanding of solar PV systems, electrical systems, and engineering documentation.

. Ability to read and review drawings, layouts, technical specifications, and project documents.

. Strong project coordination, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

. Good organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.

. Proactive, hands-on, and able to work independently in a fast-paced project environment.

. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required knowledge of AutoCAD and project scheduling tools is preferred.

. Familiarity with Singapore project submissions, authority approvals, site coordination, and contract or management is an advantage.
