Job Summary
The Assistant Project Manager supports the planning, coordination, and execution of projects within the Marine / HVAC / environment. This role ensures projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with technical, quality, and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in planning, scheduling, and executing project activities to meet deadlines.
- Monitor project progress, track milestones, and report status to the Project Manager.
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and site teams to ensure smooth workflow.
- Support site operations including installation, testing, and commissioning activities.
- Track material procurement and ensure timely delivery to project sites.
- Assist in cost control, budget monitoring, variation orders (VO), and progress claims.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, QA/QC standards, and HSE requirements.
- Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and shipyard representatives on project matters.
- Prepare meeting minutes (MoM), reports, and maintain proper project documentation.
- Identify risks and support mitigation actions to avoid delays or cost overruns.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Engineering (Mechanical / Electrical / HVAC) or related field.
- Minimum 3-6 years of relevant experience in Marine / HVAC projects.
- Basic knowledge of project management, site coordination, and technical drawings.
- Familiarity with installation, testing, and commissioning processes is preferred.
- Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and project tracking tools.
- Willingness to travel or work at shipyards / project sites as required.
