Company Overview

The client is a well-established supplier in the construction industry with over 40 years of experience, providing suspended scaffoldings and customized solutions to reputable main contractors for their projects.

Job Summary

Join as an Assistant Project Manager to lead site operations, ensure quality control, manage schedules, and coordinate with clients, driving project success while prioritizing safety and efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and oversee daily site activities, supervising workers and coordinating with client staff to ensure smooth operations
  • Perform comprehensive quality control from project start to finish, managing budget, schedule, and planning, and report progress to the Director
  • Execute project work and provide regular progress updates to the Project Manager
  • Manage work schedules and resolve disputes with workers to maintain productivity and harmony
  • Ensure all work complies with safety protocols, quality standards, and is completed within allocated timelines
  • Maintain detailed daily site records of manpower, materials, and work status for accurate tracking
  • Attend site and internal meetings, addressing client feedback and complaints promptly
  • Read and interpret AutoCAD drawings to support project execution
  • Handle certifications such as MOM, AE, PE, COS as an advantage to support compliance requirements
  • Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned to support project needs

Required competencies and certifications

  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects under tight timelines and pressure
  • Strong project management and supervision skills to lead teams effectively
  • Decision-making and leadership skills to guide site operations confidently
  • Time management and organizational skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Knowledge of suspended scaffolding systems is highly advantageous
  • Excellent proficiency in AutoCAD and other design/visualization software
  • Familiarity with Singapore Construction Industry rules, regulations, best practices, and performance standards

Preferred competencies and qualifications

  • Degree or Diploma in Construction Management or Civil Engineering background
  • Minimum 2 years of proven work experience in construction of high-rise buildings

Other Information

  • Starting salary $4.6k - $5k, depending on relevant experience
  • 14 days annual leave for first 2 years of continuous service, increasing by 1 day per completed year up to 21 days
