Lead engineering design and calculations for sprinkler, hydrant, hose reel, and fire pump systems.
Ability to design layouts, schematics, and technical submissions in compliance with Singapore Standard (SS) fire codes, SCDF regulations and resolve technical queries.
Added advantage to perform full hydraulic calculations and equipment sizing using tools such as HFC, etc.
Prepare and submit shop drawings, as-built drawings, O&M submissions.
Coordinate with consultants, clients, main contractors and other M&E disciplines on design and technical issues.
Supervise a small team of engineers or site supervisors for fire protection systems related matters.
Ensure project work is executed in compliance with engineering standards, safety regulations, and authority requirements.
To monitor and follow up on construction progress, to submit progress claims and variation claims till closing of final account
To attend site meetings with Developers, Architects, Consultants & Main contractors
Ensure job are carried out with compliance to safety guideline
To lead and communicate with our Site Engineer and Site Supervisor.
Controlling the cost of the materials and labour.
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering is mandatory.
Diploma will be considered only if possess strong fire protection design experience.
Minimum 5 years of experience in Fire Protection Systems design & execution within M&E contracting projects.
Preferred proficient in AutoCAD / Revit MEP and hydraulic calculation software (HFC or equivalent).
Strong knowledge of Singapore Standard (SS) codes and SCDF standards.
Track record hands on site experience complete with testing and commissioning with sprinkler, hydrant, dry riser, wet risers, hose reel, fire alarm systems, etc.
Excellent analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively with consultants, main contractors, clients and subcontractors.
Proven ability to lead technical teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
