Job Description

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist the Project Manager in planning, coordinating, and managing the successful execution of the Design & Construction of Cycling Path Project, ensuring completion within the approved timeline, budget, and quality standards.
  • Coordinate and monitor project activities, including design development, construction, scheduling, progress tracking, testing, commissioning, and project handover.
  • Review contract documents, technical specifications, construction drawings, method statements, and engineering submissions to ensure compliance with project requirements.
  • Liaise and coordinate with clients, consultants, LTA, utility agencies, subcontractors, and other stakeholders on engineering, technical, contractual, and project implementation matters.
  • Monitor project progress, manpower, plant, materials, and subcontractor performance to ensure work is carried out efficiently and according to schedule.
  • Assist in managing project budgets, cost control, variation works, procurement, and resource planning to achieve project objectives.
  • Identify project risks, technical issues, and construction challenges, and work with the project team to implement timely solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) regulations, environmental requirements, quality standards, and all applicable permits and statutory requirements.
  • Coordinate utility diversions, traffic management implementation, site inspections, authority inspections, and project documentation.
  • Prepare and submit progress reports, work programmes, technical reports, and other project documentation required by management and the client.
  • Lead, supervise, and mentor engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors to ensure project objectives and quality standards are achieved.
  • Support the Project Manager in stakeholder management, project meetings, and overall contract administration.

Requirements

  • Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering recognised by the Professional Engineers Board (PEB) Singapore.
  • Minimum 7 years of relevant Civil Engineering experience in LTA projects involving cycling path construction, commuter facilities, road works, or similar infrastructure projects.
  • Strong experience in project planning, site execution, progress monitoring, and coordination with clients, consultants, authorities, and subcontractors.
  • Proven ability to manage project budgets, schedules, resources, subcontractors, and stakeholders effectively.
  • Strong leadership, planning, communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Familiar with contract administration and project management practices.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Project and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Candidates who can commence work on short notice will have an advantage.
