Job Duties
- Assist in preparing electrical and instrumentation drawings, wiring diagrams, and layouts
- Support installation, calibrations and testing of electrical panels, instruments, sensors, and control systems
- Assist in commissioning and troubleshooting of PLC/SCADA and other systems
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of electrical and instrumentation equipment
- Identify and resolve basic electrical or control faults under supervision
- Provide technical assistance to project teams during construction and commissioning phases
- Observe operations and inspect installations progress to ensure adequate quality assurance for all deliverables ensuring compliance to design specifications standards, and safety procedures
- Ensure all electrical and instrumentation works comply with relevant codes, standards and safety regulations
- Participate in toolbox meetings, risk assessments and safety audits
- Maintain test reports, calibration certificates and maintenance records
- Assist in preparation of operation manuals and conduct training
- Support in developing bill of materials, specifications, and technical documentation
- Assist purchasing team in sourcing and verifying electrical and instrumentation components according to customer and project specification
Job Requirements:
- Candidate to possess at least a NITEC/Higher NITEC/Diploma in electrical, electronics engineering or equivalent
- Basic knowledge of electrical circuits, instrumentations, PLC and control systems
- Familiar with AutoCAD or EPLAN for electrical drawings is an advantage
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Good analytical and problem solving skills
- Strong teamwork, communication, ability to work cross functionally and willingness to learn
- Work beyond working hours as needed, whether for call-out, commissioning or project related
- Willingness to travel and be site based
