Job Summary
The Engineer manages multiple projects, takes ownership of designs, and drives efficiency improvements. They develop client relationships, prepare technical documentation, and collaborate with teams to ensure timely project delivery and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Manage multiple engineering projects to meet all assigned deadlines effectively
- Take full ownership of project designs and deliverables to ensure quality outcomes
- Continuously improve personal and team work efficiency through proactive initiatives
- Communicate clearly with clients and project teams to align expectations and progress
- Collaborate actively with team members to promote consultation and teamwork
- Seek opportunities to expand knowledge across various engineering disciplines
- Develop and maintain new and existing client relationships in Singapore
- Negotiate pricing and delivery schedules with customers to secure agreements
- Prepare detailed technical documentation for products and projects accurately
- Liaise with engineers, professionals, and technical personnel to coordinate project tasks
- Apply product knowledge to recommend solutions tailored to customer needs
- Provide effective sales advice and presentations on company products and services
- Deliver excellent customer service by promptly identifying and resolving issues
- Compile weekly sales progress and field reports to inform project and sales strategies
- Work closely with project teams to ensure product specifications and requirements are met
- Perform any other ad hoc duties as assigned to support business objectives
Required competencies and certifications
- Nitec, Diploma, or Degree in Electronics, Mechatronics, Mechanical, Computer Engineering, or equivalent
- Proficient communication skills to engage customers and collaborate within teams
- Business-level English proficiency to conduct effective sales outreach
- Ability to read mechanical drawings, electrical drawings, and electronic schematic/wiring diagrams
- General knowledge of electrical/electronics, semiconductor, and IoT technologies
- Positive, proactive, independent working attitude with responsibility and willingness to learn
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Experience maintaining good relationships with new and existing clientele
- Logical problem-solving skills and flexibility to absorb new knowledge and handle challenges
