  • Stakeholder Management
    • Develop and manage relations with partner universities through regular communications.
    • Facilitate annual placement projection and negotiation exercise with partner universities.
    • Willing to travel when required to maintain and build relationships with partner universities.
  • Programmes and Events Management
    • Plan, promote and execute events such as SMU's Global Education Fair, Orientation, Farewell, dialogue sessions and other student outreach and programme publicity initiatives for inbound/outbound students.
    • Provide necessary support and guidance to the students (outbound SMU students and inbound international students) throughout the programme which includes managing the team's role-based mailbox, answering programme-related enquiries as well as engaging students via social media.
    • Conduct surveys, analyse findings and prepare reports on students study abroad or study at SMU experiences, and learning outcomes.
    • Be part of the team who facilitate daily operations of the exchange programmes such as onboarding processes, outreach activities, promotion collaterals, credit transfers, billings & logistics.
    • Work closely with SMU schools and offices to ensure full compliance with study abroad safety protocols.
  • Special projects
    • Work together with the team to improve and enhance effectiveness and efficiency of operational/work processes,
    • Lead and manage various programme related projects, to assemble teams to deliver on these projects.
  • Any other duties assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in any discipline.
  • Strong understanding of operations within the global education sector.
  • 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in developing and managing global student programmes at the university level and/or organizing cross-cultural student events.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence and effectiveness in cross-cultural environments.
  • Proactive self-starter with strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Collaborative team player who is resourceful, resilient, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, results-driven and dynamic environment.
  • Meticulous and detail-oriented, with a strong appreciation for thorough planning and proper documentation.
  • Able to manage multiple competing priorities within tight deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
  • Digitally savvy, with strong IT and social media proficiency.
  • Experience in graphic design tools (e.g. Canva, CapCut) and automation platforms (e.g. Power Automate) would be an advantage.
