This post is a temporary 3-year contract based in Singapore. The appointee will be an employee of NUI Dublin Pte in Singapore. NUI Dublin Pte is a subsidiary of UCD.
UCD College of Business is a dynamic business school located in the vibrant European capital of Dublin. Consistently ranked amongst the leading business schools in the world, the College of Business is currently ranked 23rd in the Financial Times European Business Schools rankings. It is the only Irish member of the Global Alliance in Management Education (CEMS) and the Global Network for Advanced Management (GNAM), and also holds the triple crown of accreditation from AACSB (US), EQUIS (Europe) and AMBA (UK).
The College comprises of the Lochlann Quinn School of Business (Quinn School), the Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School (Smurfit School), the Global Campus (GC) and Smurfit Executive Development (SED). The Quinn School and GC are located on the main campus at Belfield while the Smurfit School and SED are located on the Blackrock campus. UCD College of Business GC has a significant overseas presence in Singapore.
We are looking for energetic academic colleagues who will contribute to the development of our educational activities in Singapore and accordingly, applications are invited for appointment to a three-year temporary position as Assistant Professor / Lecturer of Management (specialising in Organisational Behavour) (OB).
The successful candidate will have a proven track record in the area of Management (OB).
Teaching and Learning: The successful candidate will be required to make a significant contribution to the teaching of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in Singapore. This post has a strong emphasis on teaching duties and it is expected that these will form the core activity of this post.
Research: The successful candidate will be required to be research active and to undertake research leading to publication in international, peer-reviewed, academic journals relevant to Management (OB).
Service: The successful candidate will be required to actively engage with the NUI Dublin team in Singapore, UCD staff, and our local partner in Singapore. In particular the focus will be on cultivating and maintaining relationships with key industry partners, student support and promotion of UCD and our portfolio of programmes in Asia.
