Job Description
Role Overview
We are seeking a hands-on
Assistant Production Manager to oversee daily operations within a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for ensuring efficient production processes, driving team performance, and maintaining a strong focus on safety and quality.
You will lead a production team, monitor output, and play a key role in implementing operational improvements while ensuring alignment with company standards and objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise day-to-day production activities and monitor team productivity
- Lead shift meetings, track progress, and take action to address delays or issues
- Implement production plans, performance targets, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensure team members understand their roles, responsibilities, and performance expectations
- Promote a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous development
- Enforce compliance with safety regulations, policies, and procedures
- Plan and adjust work schedules to support efficient operations
- Maintain working knowledge of production processes and equipment
- Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues, escalating complex problems when required
- Support broader business objectives and contribute to overall operational performance
Experience And Education
- Proven track record in a manufacturing environment supervising production quality and continuity
- Prior experience in a supervisory or team leadership role
- Six-Sigma Green Belt certificate is considered a plus
Skills And Knowledge
- Strong understanding of production operations and manufacturing processes
- Proven leadership and team management capabilities
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office or related tools
