We are looking for an individual who is interested in supporting the production and technical services/activities of the Centre with the objective of creating a world-class arts centre with efficient and effective backstage operations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Client Liaison and Production Support for department
- Support production activities in all ancillary spaces including first line technical support.
- Act as a Liaison with clients on technical and staffing needs for ancillary functions in the centre.
- Interpreting and communicating technical needs to relevant technical departments and input production schedules into venue management system.
Production and Technical Activities
- Support production and technical activities of the Esplanade to ensure efficient backstage operations with effective scheduling of resources.
- Plan, execute and keep track of day-to-day operations of Esplanade backstage areas; e.g. scheduling of service and maintenance agreements, etc.
- Provide client (both internal and external) with estimated production costs on a timely basis and revise as needed. Complete invoices and work orders and verify costs on completion of the event.
- Provide production schedules and manpower requirements in consultation with the Technical Managers via EBMS. Hire and supervise casual venue stage managers and other casual/contract staff as required.
Others
- To share and maintain contacts of production staff, service providers, and other backstage resources and suppliers.
- Ensures a safe working environment is maintained in all stage and backstage areas at all times.
- Perform Risk Assessments when required
- Conduct regular safety inspections.
- Act as the primary liaison officer with other operations departments/and contractors.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Tertiary qualification from a recognised institution in stage management, theatre production or equivalent professional experience.
- Training in, autocad/BIMS, excel, first aid courses and firefighting programmes is an advantage.
- At least 2 to 3 years working experience in Stage or Production Management or Technician.
- Strong people management skills and ability to work as part of a team are important.
- Good service quality skill is essential together with good communication and strong interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge and skills in handling professional lighting & audio equipment and the arts industry in general and theatre technical production are crucial.
- Irregular working hours and hands-on work are necessary.
- Salary range : $3,300-$3,500
