We are partnering with a global leader in the specialty chemicals space to recruit an Assistant Product Marketing Manager responsible for managing and developing the product portfolio across the Asia Pacific region.
This role offers encompasses product operations, regional exposure, and strategic involvement, including opportunities to contribute to product roadmap development and new product initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Product Portfolio & Lifecycle Management
- Manage and maintain the regional product portfolio, ensuring product data, specifications, and documentation are accurate and up to date
- Support end-to-end product lifecycle management, including new product launches, upgrades, and phase-in/phase-out planning
- Identify risks, gaps, and opportunities within the portfolio to support continuous improvement
Product Strategy & Development
- Support end-to-end chemical product development, product marketing, and lifecycle management initiatives
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver product plans aligned with the company's overall strategy
- Support the consistent rollout of regional product strategy across APAC markets
- Contribute to the development of product roadmaps aligned with automotive and industry evolution to capture and expand market share
- Assess business opportunities in emerging markets, including co-branded product initiatives with OEM partners
Stakeholder Engagement & Cross-functional Collaboration
- Act as the primary point of contact for product-related enquiries across the region
- Evaluate, justify, and prioritize new product requests from commercial teams
- Collaborate closely with R&D, supply chain, and manufacturing teams to support product development and execution
Label Design & Compliance
- Develop, refine, and update product labels in collaboration with internal teams and external partners
- Ensure all designs comply with brand guidelines, regulatory standards, and market requirements
SKU & Data Management
- Support the creation, extension, and maintenance of SKU codes for new and existing products
- Ensure accuracy and consistency of product data across systems
Key Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent.
- At least 3 to 4 years experience in product management or product marketing.
- Experience in automotive lubricants, petroleum additives/chemicals, or base oil industry is highly advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail with a creative mindset.
- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills for coordination across cross-functional teams.
- Meticulous, proactive, and a self-starter with strong teamwork skills.
