About the Role
SPH Media is the home of Singapore's most well-known lifestyle titles, including Her World, Harper's Bazaar Singapore, Singapore Women's Weekly, HardwareZone, F Zine, Home & Dcor, The Peak, NuYou, and Icon. As we enter the FY26/27 growth phase, SPH Media is pivoting to a balanced growth engine designed to deliver sustainable audience scale and long-term commercial value. We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Product Manager to join our Lifestyle Media Audience Growth Team and lead this transition.
With Millennials and Gen Z at the core, you will be responsible for retaining our massive scale while accelerating next-phase growth through high-quality traffic, social discovery (video-first), and resilient owned communities. This role is pivotal in driving audience expansion, deepening engagement, and bridging the gap between audience data, content strategy, and commercial outcomes.
The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical capabilities, a strategic mindset, and a collaborative approach. Reporting to the Audience Growth Lead, you will lead audience development initiatives, manage cross-functional workflows, and deliver actionable insights to achieve our ambitious growth objectives.
Roles & Responsibilities
1. Web: Retain & Deepen (Scale Management)
- Develop and execute strategies to drive a year-on-year increase in Monthly Average Users (MAU) and growth in pageviews across lifestyle titles.
- Strengthen SEO and refresh evergreen content to ensure long-term traffic sustainability.
- Optimize discovery points on the web to drive deeper user engagement and retention.
2. Social Discovery & Next-Gen Strategy
- Social - Scale & Convert: Drive discovery at scale, targeting double-digit growth in follower acquisition and significant increases in video views.
- Next-Gen Strategy: Lead the transition to a video-first, social-first content model specifically engineered to resonate with Millennial and Gen Z behaviours to ensure our brands remain culturally relevant and high-performing.
- Conversion & Amplification: Execute always-on amplification strategies and manage creator collaborations designed to convert reach into traffic and loyal followers.
3. Community: Own the Audience (Retention & Loyalty)
- Expand owned ecosystems by growing our core community membership base and building resilient first-party data strength.
- Grow CRM touchpoints through newsletters and Telegram, building loyalty, repeat visits, and community mobilization for events.
4. Brand & Content Awareness
- Leverage owned and earned media to scale brand visibility and drive content discovery.
- Implement tactical campaigns designed to lift audience data performance and strengthen market positioning.
5. Audience Intelligence & Value Creation
- Leverage audience data to build more compelling sales narratives, driving stronger monetization and commercial outcomes.
- Analyze the performance of content across platforms, providing actionable recommendations to editorial teams to enhance reach and engagement.
6. Editorial Collaboration & Alignment
- Work closely with editorial teams across lifestyle titles to align content strategy with audience growth objectives.
- Translate audience insights into actionable recommendations on formats, topics, and distribution strategies to maximize reach, engagement, and traffic.
- Manage communication and workflows with internal departments, including web development, SEO, performance, and editorial teams.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for cross-departmental projects, ensuring alignment and timely delivery of marketing campaigns.
We Are Looking For
- Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree/Diploma in Marketing or related field with 6-7 years of experience in audience growth, digital marketing, or content strategy.
- Technical Proficiency: Expert command of Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Ahrefs, Meta Business Suite & Ads Manager, and Sprout Social.
- Strategic & Commercial Mindset: Proven ability to leverage data not just for growth, but to create commercial value and compelling sales stories.
- Digital Savvy: Deep understanding of SEO, video-first content, and Millennial/Gen Z digital behaviours.
- Leadership & Communication: Exceptional skills for effective collaboration across editorial, technical, and sales teams.
