Job Description

We are partnering with a global leader in the specialty chemicals space to recruit a Assistant Product Manager responsible for managing and maintaining the product portfolio across the Asia Pacific region. The role encompasses day-to-day product operations, data management, and cross-functional coordination, with strong exposure to regional product strategy and new product initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Product Portfolio Management: Maintain the regional product portfolio, ensuring product data, specifications, and documentation are accurate and up to date. Support product lifecycle activities, including new product launches, upgrades, and phase-in/phase-out planning. Identify risks, gaps, and opportunities within the portfolio.
  • Label Design Development: Develop, refine, and update product labels in collaboration with internal teams and suppliers, ensuring compliance with brand guidelines, aesthetic standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the primary point of contact for product-related enquiries. Evaluate and prioritize new product requests from the commercial team. Collaborate with R&D and factory teams to support new product development initiatives.
  • SKU Codification Support: Assist with the creation and extension of Stock Keeping Unit (SKU) codes for new and existing products.
  • Product Marketing Support: Provide support to the Product and Marketing teams, contributing to cross-functional initiatives and overall project success.

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent.
  • At least 3 to 4 years experience in product management or product marketing.
  • Experience in automotive lubricants, petroleum additives/chemicals, or base oil industry is highly advantageous.
  • Strong attention to detail with a creative mindset.
  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills for coordination across cross-functional teams.
  • Meticulous, proactive, and a self-starter with strong teamwork skills.
