Job Summary

The Assistant / Procurement Manager is responsible for leading and managing end-to-end procurement activities in alignment with organisational policies and strategic objectives. This role partners closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective sourcing, contract management, and vendor engagement. The position focuses on delivering value through cost efficiency, strong governance, and continuous process improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning and execution of procurement activities across the organisation

  • Ensure procurement operations comply with established policies, procedures, and governance frameworks

  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to define and validate procurement requirements and scopes of work

  • Identify, evaluate, and onboard suitable suppliers and service providers

  • Conduct supplier assessments, tender evaluations, and commercial negotiations

  • Coordinate contract reviews and prepare approval documentation

  • Monitor supplier performance and manage vendor relationships

  • Identify process gaps and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and compliance

  • Prepare procurement reports and performance metrics for management review

  • Support audit processes and ensure proper documentation and controls

  • Manage procurement risks and ensure regulatory and policy adherence

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the procurement function

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related discipline

  • Extensive experience in procurement, sourcing, and contract management

  • Experience in construction, engineering, or infrastructure-related industries is an advantage

  • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively

  • Experience in Request for Proposal process + handle audits before and develop the procurement process for the audit.

  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and presentation abilities

  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and ethical standards

  • Experience supporting procurement audits and governance reviews

  • Strong organisational and time management skills
