Assistant Planner

Brief Summary

Responsibilities

• Manage forecast planning and schedule production orders in line with demand and resource availability. Coordinate with Project Leaders, Planners, and Production Supervisors to ensure prioritization according to delivery timelines. Oversee material and production planning, including managing material requisitions and maintaining bill of materials (BOM). Confirm production orders based on material availability and production capacity. Plan and coordinate with purchasers to ensure material deliveries align and prevent surplus inventory. Monitor material availability to support uninterrupted production processes. Prepare regular reports on excess and obsolete inventory as well as buy-down claims. Ensure timely closure of production orders for invoicing purposes. Develop and present ad-hoc reports for management and cross-functional teams, delivering critical data analysis to facilitate informed decision-making.

Requirements

• Relevant educational background in supply chain, industrial engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 3 years of experience in production planning or material management. Proven analytical skills and ability to deliver data-driven insights. Strong coordination and communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams. Familiarity with industry-standard production planning tools and methodologies.
