Assistant Payroll Manager

We are pleased to be supporting a large established client within the not-for-profit sector to appoint an Assistant Payroll Manager(circa. SGD$78k annual base) into their People team. This is a full-time, permanent position created to strengthen the payroll function and build internal succession depth within the organisation. This role is to be based in Singapore, on a hybrid work arrangement.

Job Description

You will be a hands-on member of the payroll team, processing accurate and timely in-house payroll for a local workforce of more than 1,500 employees in Singapore, comprising a blend of full-time and part-time staff across various functions. Day-to-day work is delivered primarily through the SAP/SuccessFactors platform, covering the full payroll cycle from data input and validation through to payment and statutory reporting.

Beyond transactional delivery, the organisation is deliberately hiring for potential. The leadership team wants experienced professionals who can grow into broader people operations or payroll leadership responsibilities over time, providing continuity and capability should current leads move on.

The Successful Candidate

• Solid experience processing high-volume, multi-category payroll (full-time + part-time) in-house
• Working knowledge of SAP SuccessFactors (or a comparable enterprise HCM/payroll system)
• Strong attention to detail, process discipline, and comfort with complex employee populations
• The maturity and commercial awareness to contribute to process improvement and to step up when needed
